| Colin Hoppe Ceramics artist I have been registered blind for a few years now, before this I was a qualified chef. As my sight faded I found that working with ceramics was a good release for my anxieties, moods, emotions and feelings of frustration. My work is mostly large scale with some smaller pieces made when I am feeling
brave. I undertake commissions and have been involved in several exhibitions
leading to many sales of my work. My style include abstract and figurative pieces which represent my take on every day experiences and how I am affected by them. All my work is built around the concept of it being handled so that people can directly touch and hopefully
share with me, in emotion running through the piece. Commissions accepted, demonstrations and tutoring, residencies, workshops and work with special needs groups.
