Jenny Wilson Ceramics, painter, mixed media artist Throughout my practice there is a desire to commemorate everyday occurrences and stories. I enjoy working with clay because during the process of firing my stories and anecdotes are immortalised. Clay was important in the development of early writing. I have always been fascinated by the cross-over between symbols and letters, which I have shown in my work. Materials which are ubiquitous in nature such as paper, print, paint and clay are important to me and are appropriate to the everyday stories and record.
