| Michelle Hennessy Designer, textile and mixed media artist I am a recent graduate of the London College of Fashion and last summer went to South Africa to work in partnership with local women who have HIV and Aids who are unable to find work and try to use their craft to make a small amount of money. Since returning I have continued to work with the crafters and the designs I created for them, they are now working on and are being sold across the world. My work has been in many exhibitions, the most recent being at The Mall in Uxbridge shopping centre and the Atrium Gallery in Uxbridge Library. My work incorporates embroidery, painting and crocheting, which I apply to Art, womenswear, and accessories of my own designs. My Artwork includes embroidery on canvas. I really welcome the opportunities to showcase my work in my local community, where I have been brought up.
