| Shivashtie Poonwassie Sculptor, ceramics artist, glass maker,
mixed media artist My work involves investigating human emotions, experiences and behaviour. I am intrigued by issues regarding the inner mind and reality
and how this affects perception and communication. I combine materials, texture and surface
treatments with various forms such as heads, the figure and vessels to express my ideas. My approach is experimental and explorative producing unique sculptural pieces of varying scale. I work in ceramics, glass and brick. I am currently involved with making sculptures on site at a traditional brick factory in Chesham in both brick and brick clay.
