Cliff Coleman  Woodturner

Cliff has been turning and carving since 1995, although his experience of woodturning does date back to his schooldays! (just don’t ask when that was.)

We have attended a variety of major craft shows.

Cliff collects quite a lot of local timber often as trees that are felled and he seasons the wood in his own wood store at home. This gives the opportunity for some wet or "green" turning, as turners call it, and sometimes lets nature take its course to create uniquely distorted articles.

Fully seasoning fresh "green" timber can take from 2 to 4 years, so space for storage and patience are prerequisites, plus the preparedness to pay for parts of the process if fuel is needed for kilning.
