Marcia Barritt Bilingual Writer, Artist

I am a Jamaican multi-skilled - poet, author, writer, spoken word artist, illustrator and multicultural self-publisher. I specialise in bi-lingual use of the Jamaican Patwa language, to encourage and establish its creativity in literature and the visual arts, which is of great benefit to the Carribean community and educationist as a whole. My works in Caribbean Patwa, is a rich cultural mix of - poems, folksongs, cultural narratives and illustrations that distinguishes cultural identity; which is in stark contrast to my contemporary English literary works… powerfully expressed to demonstrate an array of cultural fusion that exists in a multicultural society.

Commissions accepted, Residencies, Demonstrations, Work with children/schools. Author services.
